Medical research charities collectively invested £1.4 billion in research across all disease areas in 2015. Alzheimer’s Research UK is the only national dedicated dementia research charity in the UK.
There are a number of charities in the UK that fund dementia research, for example these include the Alzheimer’s Society, Alzheimer’s Scotland, Parkinson’s UK, the British Heart Foundation and Bristol Research into Alzheimer’s & Care of Elderly (BRACE).
