Impact of dementia on hospitals in England

Alzheimer's Research UK’s data dashboard looks at the impact of dementia on the hospital system in England.

Using data produced by the NHS, the dashboard provides information on people aged over 65 and enables you to compare those with dementia and those without the condition.

The data reveals insights into people’s experiences with the hospital system, including the number of times people have been admitted and how long they spent in hospital.

It also highlights how much dementia costs hospitals across the country, looking at both Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships (STPs) and Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs).
