Staying physically active throughout life is key to maintaining brain health, and particularly as you age. Up to 2% of global dementia cases could be attributable to physical inactivity, and regular exercise is also key to reducing incidence of other dementia risk factors in the population, such as obesity, type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure.

‘Love your heart’ is one of three key pillars to our Think Brain Health campaign to encourage the public to take care of their brains and reduce dementia risk.
